ISLAMABAD – Chief of the Turkish General Staff General Hulusi AKAR calledon Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi at NavalHeadquarters, Islamabad on Friday.

Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the visiting dignitary was received byChief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi. A smartly turned outcontingent of Pakistan Navy presented him the guard of honour.

Later, Chief of the Turkish General Staff called on Chief of the NavalStaff in his office, where detailed discussions on professional matters andbilateral defence collaboration in diverse fields were held. General HulusiAKAR lauded the commitment and performance of Pakistan Navy in maintainingpeace and stability in the regional maritime domain.

It is expected that the recent visit of Chief of the Turkish General Staffwill further enhance defence collaboration and defence ties between the twocountries in general and Navies in particular.

Meanwhile, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi visitedCommand and Staff College Quetta and addressed the course participants andfaculty members.
