Five alleged dacoits were killed reportedly in an encounter with police atNowshera Jadeed area of Ahmedpur Sharqia on Sunday night.
According to the police’s version, when cops reached the crime scene afterreceiving information that nine ‘robbers’ had snatched a motorbike, acellphone and cash from a man, they were fired at by the outlaws, which ledto a retaliatory fire by the police. “As a result of which five dacoitswere killed,” the spokesman for the Force said, and added, “Those killed inthe encounter belonged to Hassam Meorra gang.”
