Chaudhry Nisar raises serious concerns over Pakistan NSA meeting Indian High Commissioner

ISLAMABAD – Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesdaycriticised the recent meeting between National Security Advisor Lt General(retd) Nasser Khan Janjua and Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria.

At least 19 Kashmiri youth were martyred by Indian security forces inIslamabad and Shopian districts of the occupied valley in a search andcordon operation conducted on Sunday. In the meeting, held on Tuesday,Janjua had conveyed Pakistan’s concerns on the worsening security situationin occupied Kashmir to the Indian diplomat. The national security adviserfurther told Bisaria that Pakistan is pursuing the policy of friendlyrelations with all its neighboring countries including normalcy ofrelationship with India.

“The meeting is beyond comprehension under the present circumstances…at atime when Indian aggression is underway in occupied Kashmir,” Nisar noted.

Reacting to the meeting, Nisar said the government should consider themessage such meetings would convey to the Kashmiri people.

The veteran politician further said that while Pakistani diplomats in Indiaare facing increasing problems, Pakistan is trying to strengthenfriendships in Islamabad.

Nisar further observed that the United Nations (UN) has taken notice of theongoing crisis in Kashmir.

“Amnesty International has called the operations of Indian security forcesin held-Kashmir an open state-sponsored terrorism,” he said.
