KABUL – 162 Senior Army Generals retired from the Afghan Military asefforts are underway to bring reforms in the security and defense sector ofthe country, Khaama Press has reported.
The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan said the 162 Senior Army Generalsreceived their retirement after their service term ended as per the Article59 Officers’ inherent law.
A ceremony was organized in the Ministry of Defense to celebrate theretirement of the Senior Military Generals and was attended by seniorofficials including the Minister of Defense Tariq Shah Bahrami.
In his speech to the retired generals, Bahrami thanked them for theircontribution in the rebuilding, training, and empowerment of the Afghanarmy as well as taking part in the combat missions.
