DOHA – US-based Saudi Journalist Jamaal Khashoogi’s body was possiblyburned in an oven at Saudi consulate general’s residence, reported AlJazeera.
An investigation by Al Jazeera into the assassination of the journalistalso revealed that the burning of the outdoor furnace was monitored by theTurkish authorities. Khashoggi was assassinated in the Saudi Consulate inIstanbul on October 2 last year.
Bags believed to be carrying his body parts were transferred to the SaudiConsul’s house situated a few hundred meters away, according to the report.
The worker who constructed the furnace stated that the furnace couldwithstand temperatures above 1000 degrees Celsius, and was built accordingto specifications from the Saudi consul.
