ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Foreign Office goes digital, for the first time inhistory of the country.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs has adopted the digital QR code system forattestation of documents.
“To improve Consular Services, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of theIslamic Republic of Pakistan is shifting from manual attestation system todigital attestation. It will initially launch digital QR Code system at theHeadquarters with effect from March 5, 2019,” says a FO press release.
The QR Code System will also be introduced subsequently at Camp Offices.
QR Code system is a user-friendly digital attestation process, which wouldlead to expeditious attestation.
This will help to verify the attestation of their documents via QR Codescanner.
Moreover, the malpractice of forged attestation would be curbed. Digitalattestation would also help create paperless environment as the data willbe digitally backed up.
