ISLAMABAD – Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has informed that a number oftax payers in the country increased by one lakh and 9 as compared to lastfiscal year.
The FBR authorities informed that as many as 1.179 million tax returnssubmitted to the tax collecting body in first seven month of fiscal year2017-2018, while the body collected 1.630 million tax returns in firstseven month of current fiscal year 2018-2019.
The FBR said that the number of tax payers as compared to the population ofthe country is very low. For the purpose measures have been taken toincrease the number of tax payers in the country.

The authorities further said that numbers of tax payers will also beincreased further in the end of the current fiscal year.
