Frustrated over left alone on Afghan peace talks, India seeks meeting with Afghan NSA

KABUL – To pacify India over frustration after left ignored on peace talks,Afghanistan’s National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah left for India tomeet with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval.

The Office of the National Security Council (ONSC) confirmed that Dr. Mohibhas left for India on an official invitation from his Indian counterpart.

According to a statement released by Office of the National SecurityCouncil, Dr. Mohib will hold talks with his Indian counterpart regardingbilateral cooperation.

The Indian media outlets had earlier reported that Ajit Doval, the NationalSecurity Advisor of India would meet his Afghan counterpart Dr. HamdullahMohib to hold talks on bilateral security cooperation.

“The Afghan NSA is likely to hold parleys with his Indian counterpart AjitDoval along with other senior military and political leadership,” sourcesprivy of the development have told local media outlets in India.
