The Asia Cup match between Pakistan and India ended in a draw due to rain interference. However, during the match, both countries' cricket players mingled with each other, and former cricketer and BJP leader Gautam Gambhir left in anger while they were still on the field.
In the match against Pakistan, India's top order completely failed, leading to criticism from various TV channels, with former Indian cricketers openly expressing their discontent with their players' performance. However, former opener Gautam Gambhir was upset about the lackluster performance of both teams' players and expressed his dislike for the camaraderie between them on television broadcasts.
On a sports channel, former cricketer and current far-right political figure Gautam Gambhir commented that the Indian team is representing 140 crore (1.4 billion) people in the stadium and should not be showing friendship with Pakistani players during the match.
He said that rival team players were thumping each other's backs and exchanging sweet words during the match, which wasn't the case a few years ago. Gambhir emphasized that when you play for your national team, you should leave friendships outside the boundary and compete fiercely with the opposing team's players.
