ISLAMABAD: (APP) A sub-committee was constituted on Saturday to 'thoroughly consider the impediments in implementation and execution' of various points of National Action Plan.
The sub-committee would 'suggest viable proposals for presentation before the Implementation Committee for removing the bottlenecks,' said a press release issued here.
The committee would thoroughly consider the impediments in implementation and execution of the following points: NAP-1 (Execution of Convicted Terrorists), NAP-2 (Special Trial Courts) and NAP-20 (Revamping of Criminal Justice System).
The sub-committee was constituted in pursuance of decision in the preliminary meeting of Implementation Committee for National Action Plan held on August 22, 2016 by the National Security Adviser/Convener of the Committee.
Attorney General for Pakistan would be the Convener/Chairman, while Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Secretary Law & Justice, all Home, Law, Prosecutors General of the Provinces and Secretary Attorney General's Office would be members of the committee.
The Committee may co-opt any other relevant person/authority as part of the Committee and its proceedings. The Committee would submit its report within 60 days.
