Attorney General to head committee to review anti-terrorism cases

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) Ashtar Ausaf Ali has called a meeting here on Monday at the Advocate General Punjab office to review the progress of cases registered under the various anti-terrorism laws.

Ashtar Ausaf Ali Attorney-General for Pakistan has been appointed as Chairman Sub-Committee of the Committee for Implementation of National Action Plan.

According to the AGP office, other members of the committee are Secretary Interior, Secretary Law, Home Secretaries/Chief Secretaries/ Inspectors General of Police/Prosecutor Generals of all the four Provinces as well as Gilgit Baltistan and AJK.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Prime Minister has constituted a sub- committee under the chairmanship of Attorney General for Pakistan which will ensure progress of prosecution of all terrorism related cases within two months.
