The Army Chief has emphasized on ensuring the safety and security of every Pakistani citizen. According to media reports, a meeting of the National Apex Committee was held under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar, in which senior civilian and military officials, including Army Chief General Asim Munir, participated.
The meeting was briefed on the security situation. During the meeting, Army Chief General Asim Munir, while speaking with the participants, stated that the protection of the lives, property, and well-being of Pakistanis is paramount, and Pakistan has only one option, which is to face challenges unitedly. We will go to any extent to preserve the integrity of the state.
At this occasion, the Army Chief also recited a verse of Allama Iqbal, which goes: "Nah Samjho Gay To Mit Jaouge Aye Hindustan Walon, Tumhari Daastaan Tak Bhi Na Hogi Daastaanon Mein." Army Chief General Asim Munir further stated in his message that today's meeting of the Apex Committee was historic in every aspect. The heads of all security agencies were present under one roof for the first time.
It was decided in the meeting that all illegally resident foreigners in Pakistan will be given a definitive deadline to leave the country. There is a possibility of a definitive deadline for illegally resident foreigners to leave the country. Until the deadline, all their assets will be sold, and they will be bound to return to their home country.
After the deadline, foreigners will be deported, and their properties will be confiscated. According to sources, Afghan citizens can now travel to Pakistan on the issuance of a digitalized identity card. Only Afghan migrants with a Proof of Registration (PoR) will be eligible to settle in Pakistan.
