ISLAMABAD - Chairman NAB (Retired) Justice Javed Iqbal says NAB will not take any step that creates hurdles in economic progress.
Addressing Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lahore on Thursday, he said that cases regarding taxes will be handed over to Federal Board of revenue.
He said money laundering is a crime and Supreme Court has handed over money laundering cases to the NAB.
He said that NAB is performing its duty within his jurisdiction. He said that plea bargain cannot be finalized without his approval.
He said that NAB will not provide relief to those housing societies who embezzled billion of rupees of orphan, widows and pensioners.
