MUZAFFARABAD: (APP) National Rural Support Program (NRSP), AJK region hold a training workshop titled "Climate Change Adaptation" in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The speakers of the workshop presented different proposals regarding the negative effects of climate change in order to safeguard the human life, said a press release.
Director State Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (SERRA) Shahid Hussain Malik was the chief guest.
He said that climate change is rapidly taking place around the world and it is a worldwide issue and scientists have expressed their concern.
He stressed upon the global powers and world community to take the issue and keep a handsome budget to tackle the issue seriously.
The Regional General Manager NRSP Attique u Rehman in his concluding remarks said that climate change is a threat to humanity and we should make the climate change the part of our curriculum so that the coming generations can get awareness about the issue.
He said that we should work on less time projects on fast track bases to meet this challenge and give a comprehensive role to media to highlight the negative effects of the climate change.
The other speakers stressed the need to work on this issue on international level and include the climate change in the curriculum as a special subject on the national level.
The speakers also stressed upon the educationists to work out for the preparation of the subject in the curriculum.
