ISLAMABAD, Jan 3 (APP): The Sharif family on Tuesday submitted an application before the Supreme Court seeking permission to change its counsel in the Panama Papers case.
According to sources, Makhdoom Ali Khan will represent the Prime Minister while Salman Akram Raja will be counsel for his sons Hassan and Hussain, and Shahid Hamid will represent Maryam Nawaz in the case.
Previously, lawyers Akram Sheikh and Salman Butt were pleading their cases.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) submitted more documents pertaining to the Panama Papers in the Supreme Court.
A five-member larger bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa will start hearing the case on Wednesday. The bench has been reconstituted by new Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar. Besides Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan, the bench includes two new judges - Justice Ijaz Afzal and Justice Gulzar Ahmad .
