ISLAMABAD -Pakistani authorities stop Indian Sikh girl attempt to meet Pakistani boyfriend in guise of Kartarpur Corridor pilgrim.
Pakistani authorities prevented an India girl of the Sikh faith from entering the premises of the country illegally. The girl was in Pakistan for pilgrimage to the Darbar Sahib Gurdwara in Kartarpur.
According to reports. the security around the Sikh holy site was tightened following the incident, and visitors to the site will now be asked for bio-metric verification on exiting the holy place as well.
A report published in Urdu daily *Jang* claims that on November 23, a Sikh girl from the Indian state of Haryana entered Pakistan as a Sikh pilgrim in order to meet her Pakistani boyfriend at the Darbar Sahib Gurdwara.
The girl, identified as Manjeet Kaur, met her boyfriend on the first floor of the holy site. The Pakistani boy, hailing from the city of Faisalabad, had come to the gurdwara along with a couple of friends, including a woman.
Kaur decided to stay in Pakistan following the conversation with her boyfriend. In this regard, the woman who had accompanied the Faisalabad man gave the girl her visitor card.
