ISLAMABAD: Dr Imran Farooq murder case has taken another turn as the noose has been tightened against the culprits.
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad issued on Friday non-bailable warrants of arrest for three suspects in the Dr Imran Farooq murder case.
ATC-I Judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi issued arrest warrants against three suspects – Kashif Kamran, Muhammad Anwar and Iftikhar Hussain – nominated in the high-profile killing case on the request of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The slain leader was stabbed and bludgeoned to death near his apartment in Green Lane, Edgware, London, in September 2010.
According to the FIA, Kamran is directly involved in the murder case, adding that Anwar is a London-based leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Hussain is a cousin of the MQM supremo Altaf Hussain.
