Swat Expressway phase 2 completion date revealed by KP government

PESHAWAR – Chief Minister Khyber Pakthunkhwa Mahmood Khan here Tuesdayexpressed the resolve to complete phase-II of Swat Expressway in next twoyears to provide state-of-the art communication facilities to people.

Presiding over a high-level meeting regarding progress on phase-II of SwatMotorway, the Chief Minister said Swat Motorway was the flagship project ofPTI Government that would promote tourism, trade and business activities inKhyber Pakthunkhwa especially in Malakand Division.

He directed convening of meeting of officials of Federal and ProvincialGovernments for taking of a decision about commencement of constructionwork on Phase-II. Under Phase-II, Swat Motorway would be extended fromChakdara Interchange to Fatehpor carrying 77 kilometers length.

The population of all adjoining areas around the proposed alignment wouldbe connected through interchanges and bridges besides full protection wouldbe given to agriculture lands.

The meeting was told that nine interchanges and eight bridges in differentplaces on river Swat have been proposed on the said proposed route.

The Chief Minister said efforts would be made to complete construction workon this mega project within two years.
