Turkey expresses keen interest to join CPEC projects

ISLAMABAD – Turkey has expressed keen interest to join CPEC projects inPakistan.

Turkish delegation expressed desire for joint ventures.

Turkey offered huge trade opportunities to Pakistani business community andthey should visit Turkey to tap all untapped areas of promoting trade andexports.

The Turkish delegation lauded Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry(RCCI)’s efforts in promoting trade activities in the region throughexchange of delegations and exhibitions. Turkey and Pakistan both enjoyedcordial relationships and purpose of their visit was to promote thesefriendly ties between the two countries, said the delegation.

RCCI President Muhammad Badar Haroon assured delegation for full supportand assistance for joint ventures and investment.

He informed Pakistan has risingpopulation which offered great potential forinvestment in construction sector. He urged that Turkish investors shouldexplore Pakistan for investment and joint ventures in gems and jewelry,pharmaceutical, marble and health sector.

He informed Rawalpindi is a major city that falls in the northern part ofCPEC project that is why there exists a huge potential to boost trade andother business activities in the city. He invited Turkish investors forjoint ventures in different sectors under CPEC Special Economic Zones.

He also gave a short summary of RCCI current activities and futureprograms. Vice President Fayaz Qureshi, former presidents and member of theexecutive committee were also present on the occasion.
