BEIJING – PM Imran Khan and Chinese premier Li Keqiang have underscored thecommitment for a stronger strategic cooperative partnership betweenPakistan and China.
The two leaders assisted by their cabinet members held talks at the GreatHall of the People in Beijing on Saturday.
On the occasion, the two sides expressed satisfaction over the multifaceted bilateral relations.
They reiterated their resolve to continue to deepen the relationship andexplore new avenues of practical collaboration.
Both sides expressed satisfaction at the progress of CPEC which is aflagship project of Belt and Road initiative.
The two leaders expressed complete confidence on the importance and futuredevelopment of CPEC.
They also expressed confidence that the process of industrial developmentof Pakistan will accelerate with the launch of special economic zones andthe industrial parks.
The two leaders expressed their commitment to maintain close engagement onissues of regional and global importance. They said that the relationshiphas withstood the test of time, notwithstanding changes in domestic,regional and global situations.
In his remarks, the Chinese premier expressed his desire to work closelywith Prime Minister Imran Khan to further strengthen the all weatherstrategic partnership for shared future.
Prime Minister Imran Khan thanked the Chinese Premier for the warmhospitality and reaffirmed the message of strong strategic partnershipbetween Pakistan and China.
Sharing his vision of Naya Pakistan, the Prime Minister congratulated theChinese premier on successful anti corruption drive, poverty alleviationand modernization of China based on innovation and IT.
He said that China’s phenomenal success in the last forty years thatresulted in socio economic uplift of the people offers a great example fordeveloping countries.
Prime Minister Imran Khan extended an invitation to the Premier Li Keqiantto visit Islamabad. The date of the visit will be finalized throughdiplomatic channels.
