DUBAI – Pakistan cricket team management has decided to test a new openingpair against Australia.
Mohammad Hafeez and Imamul Haq are likely to be Pakistan’s next choice asopening pair for the upcoming two-Test series against Australia.
It must be noted that Pakistan’s last opening pair of Azhar Ali and ImamulHaq failed to make an impact during the Test series against Ireland andEngland — where their best opening stand in six innings was just 20 runs.

Hafeez — who was not picked in the initial squad — was called by the teammanagement following his good form with the bat in the domestic cricket. Hejoined the team in Dubai on Tuesday.
