ISLAMABAD – The Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly ShahbazSharif on Wednesday extended his support to the treasury benches for theirpolicies of increasing revenue and initiating public welfare projects inthe country.-
Speaking in the National Assembly, Shahbaz Sharif said that the PML-Ngovernment in the leadership Nawaz Sharif had overcome the menace ofloadshedding in 2018 and fulfilled its promise which they had made tomasses in 2013.
He said the previous government has completed 5000 Megawatt power projectswith its own resources and saved Rs160 billion adding that his governmenthad also completed projects of previous governments. He said the previousgovernment had allocated Rs800 billion for Public Sector DevelopmentProjects (PSDP), but on April 1, 2018, the Election Commission of Pakistanhad imposed ban on utilisation of funds.
He also criticized the government for Supplementary Finance Bill and saidPTI government could not complete power projects in Khayber Pakhtunkhwaduring its last five years tenure.
