In Karachi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh andhis three siblings face allegations in a fraud case. The case wasregistered against Haleem Adil Sheikh and his brothers at Memon Goth policestation following a complaint from a citizen.
The complainant stated that Aleem, Haleem’s brother, had promised totransfer ownership of a plot in a housing society in exchange for Rs60million on November 26, 2019. However, it was later discovered that theoriginal land documents did not exist. The complainant also claimed to havebeen threatened at gunpoint in a farmhouse for exposing the financialfraud.
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi granted a three-day physicalremand to PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh in connection with a terror caseregistered at Mubina Police Station. Previously, an ATC had ordered hisrelease on August 31, but he was re-arrested outside the court premises.
Sheikh remains one of the steadfast PTI leaders who have not left theparty, despite his legal troubles.
