In partnership with Air China, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) hasinitiated a network of connected flights linking Pakistan to 16 captivatingcities in China via Beijing. PIA Country Manager, Bilal Afzal, made thisexciting announcement during the China International Fair for Trade inService (CIFTIS) held in Beijing. These alluring Chinese cities includeGuangzhou, Wuhan, Urumqi, Shenzhen, Xian, Shenyang, Shanghai, Ningbo,Nanjing, Harbin, Hangzhou, Hohhot, Dunhuang, Chengdu, Changchun, andChongqing.
To showcase its achievements and its role in strengtheningpeople-to-people ties between Pakistan and China, PIA has established aprominent booth at the Pakistan Pavilion within CIFTIS. Afzal also revealedthat passengers can conveniently use this service to travel from these 16Chinese cities to Islamabad.
Presently, PIA operates a weekly flight on the Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabadroute, taking place every Sunday, and they are actively working onintroducing a new direct flight to further enhance connectivity between thetwo nations.
Regarding discounts, Afzal mentioned that PIA offers an enticing 20%discount for students, complete with generous baggage allowances of 80 kgfor economy class and 100 kg for executive economy, on flights connectingPakistan and China. These discounts are also available for passengers whoopt for online ticket purchases.
Moreover, PIA has extended its discount offerings to cargo services betweenChina and Pakistan, presenting a valuable opportunity for businessmen andtraders to benefit. Pakistani professionals and students residing in Chinahave expressed their satisfaction with these discounts, emphasizing theconvenience and cost-effectiveness they bring to their travel experience.
Ali Imran, a Pakistani educator based in Hangzhou, lauded the introductionof these connected flights to various destinations in China, highlightingthe relief and convenience they offer to passengers traveling between thetwo friendly nations. Imran also emphasized that the fare discounts andimproved cargo services will significantly facilitate Pakistaniprofessionals and students in maintaining more frequent contact with theirfamilies.
These enhanced services also include an increase in baggage allowances,further enhancing the overall travel experience between Pakistan and China.
