Guatan Gambhir disgusted by behaviour of Pakistani and Indian cricketers

The Asia Cup match between Pakistan and India ended in a draw due to raininterference. However, during the match, both countries’ cricket playersmingled with each other, and former cricketer and BJP leader Gautam Gambhirleft in anger while they were still on the field.

In the match against Pakistan, India’s top order completely failed,leading to criticism from various TV channels, with former Indiancricketers openly expressing their discontent with their players’performance. However, former opener Gautam Gambhir was upset about thelackluster performance of both teams’ players and expressed his dislike forthe camaraderie between them on television broadcasts.

On a sports channel, former cricketer and current far-right politicalfigure Gautam Gambhir commented that the Indian team is representing 140crore (1.4 billion) people in the stadium and should not be showingfriendship with Pakistani players during the match.

He said that rival team players were thumping each other’s backs andexchanging sweet words during the match, which wasn’t the case a few yearsago. Gambhir emphasized that when you play for your national team, youshould leave friendships outside the boundary and compete fiercely with theopposing team’s players.
