Caretaker Minister of Religious Affairs, Aneeq Ahmed, affirmed on Saturdayhis commitment to alleviating the burdens faced by the public. Addressingthe media, Mr. Ahmed acknowledged the challenges of inflation, thestrengthening of the dollar against the rupee, and power-related issueswithin the nation.

He also mentioned his forthcoming trip to Saudi Arabia, explaining, “Nextweek, I will visit Saudi Arabia with the aim of reducing Hajj expenses.Discussions will be held to lower airline fares in Saudi Arabia.”

Mr. Ahmed emphasized, “The caretaker prime minister will soon make anannouncement regarding relief measures for the public.” Regarding thetiming of the general elections, he admitted, “I don’t know when theelections will take place. However, even during our short tenure, we arecommitted to making significant contributions to the country.”

Last month, Mr. Ahmed pledged to address the concerns of Karachiresidents, highlighting Karachi’s vital role in bolstering the nation’seconomy and stating, “Karachi is a key economic hub closely connected tothe people of Pakistan.”
