Spy linked with Indian agencies arrested at Pak Afghan Torkham Border

ISLAMABAD – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a dual-nationalinvolved in anti-state activities and associated with a banned outfit.

Umar Dawood Khattak from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district was nabbed onAugust 21 while he was trying to enter Pakistan via the Torkham bordercrossing; he was carrying an Afghan passport and identity card, a statementby the aggency said.

FIA revealed that after verification, it came to the fore that the accusedhad made multiple trips to India and was involved in anti-Pakistanactivities as well.

Khattak was relocated to FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking and Smuggling wing inPeshawar after arrest and further investigation revealed that he had alsobeen placed on the exit control list (ECL) by law enforcement agencies(LEAs).
