Indian Military orders two lakh new bullet proof jackets

New Delhi – Indian Military orders two lakh new bullet proof jackets forits soldiers deployed on border fronts.

Indian Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) has received requests for around twolakh `Bhabha Kavach`, country’s lightest bullet-proof jackets from thearmed forces.

As the government promotes “Make in India”, the demand for an Indianproduct can go a long way in ending dependence on imports.

Talking to IANS, Additional General Manager of Ordnance Equipment Factory,Kanpur, V.K. Chaudhary, said: “The Bhabha Kavach has received anoverwhelming response from the armed forces and so far we have got requestsfor around two lakh jackets.
