QUETTA – Commander Coast Vice Admiral Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani yesterdayinaugurated Pakistan Navy’s 21st Air Defence Battalion at Ormara inBalochistan.
The 21st Air Defence Battalion was raised about a decade ago at Manora inKarachi to provide ground based Air Defence to important coastalinstallations.
The Battalion has now shifted to its permanent location at Ormara tofulfill operationally assigned tasks. It is presently equipped with modernAir Defence Weapons and Sensors.
