Ahmed Shahzad faces yet another worst blow

KARACHI – Pakistan’s Ahmed Shehzad has faced yet another blow after he wassuspended by the Pakistan Cricket Board for failing a dope test.

He has been sacked as captain of his departmental team in the domesticcircuit.

The 26-year old opener has been removed from captaincy by HBL, and his nameis not included in the list of probables for the upcoming Quaid-e-AzamTrophy.

He has also been excluded from the PCB’s new central contract for theplayers.

Shehzad was provisionally suspended and charged by the PCB after anindependent review confirmed in July that he tested positive for a bannedsubstance. The cricketer submitted his response to the charge sheet afterlegal consultation later in the month.
