Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has given the status of‘Special VettingAgency’ (SVA) to the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) onFriday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PM has assigned theresponsibility of scrutiny of officers for the appointment, posting andpromotion to the ISI link.
The report said the top intelligence agencylink of the country, ISIlink has been authorized to verify andscreening of all Public Office Holders (officers’ category) for induction,important postings and appointments and promotions.
