KABUL – Afghan President Ashraf Ghani says the government is ready toannounce a ceasefire if the Taliban show readiness in this regard.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of the Grand Consultative Jirga on Peacein Kabul on Friday, he said his government is ready to implement allrecommendations mentioned in the Peace Jirga’s resolution.
The Afghan President said he apologizes to Kabul residents for the problemscreated for them during the Peace Jirga.
He said that the Peace Jirga resolution will be the roadmap for the Afghangovernment.
