ISLAMABAD – Shab-e-Miraj-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) will be observedacross the country tonight with religious fervour, great respect anddevotion.
Shab-e-Miraj, (night of forgiveness) is a glorious night, marking the Israand Meraj of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) when he was taken fromMakkah to Al-Haram-Al-Sharif (also known as the Temple Mount) and was thentaken to heaven on the heavenly animal named ‘al-Buraq.’
The believers will offer special prayers at mosques to seek the mercy andforgiveness of Allah (SWT).
The religious clerics would discuss the incident of Mairaj and highlightits importance in the teachings of Islam.
