Pakistan wants solution of all disputes with India through dialogue

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan wanted to settle all disputes with India including the core issue of Kashmir through meaningful dialogue.

Talking to a private news channel, he said Pakistan was making sincere efforts to engage India for table talk but India was using delaying tactics to avoid the process as usual.

Qureshi said he had talked with the Secretary of State of the United States (US) Michael Pompeo today via telephone in which the latter hailed the role of Pakistan to convince the Afghan Taliban for table talk with the US to solve the outstanding problems of the war-torn country.

Both Pakistan and US wanted peace in the region, he said urging the US to exert  pressure on India to begin meaningful talks with Pakistan for permanent peace in the South Asian region.

He said he had also explained the whole episode of the recent tension between Pakistan and India to the US secretary of state during the conservation.

The foreign minister said Pakistan Army was playing an effective role for defending the boundaries of the motherland and the whole nation hailed its role during the recent tensions between India and Pakistan, he added.
