ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the assessment ofrelevant organizations and international experts on the threats resultingfrom space debris generated by the recently conducted Anti-Satellite weapontest by India.

In a statement today (Tuesday), the Foreign Office Spokesperson said thereports that some of the space debris created by this test has been pushedabove the apogee of the International Space Station increasing the risk ofcollision are deeply worrying.

The Spokesperson said Pakistan remains a strong proponent ofnon-militarization of outer space.
