NEW DELHI – Indian security forces have claimed to hit suspected terroristlaunch pads in Pakistan Azad Kashmir during the ceasefire violations alongthe Line of Control (LoC link),officials said on Tuesday.
The army claims to have hit launch pads located in Nikial, Rakhchakri,Kotli and Bhimber in Azad Kashmir over the past few days, The EconomicTimes has reported.
Some of these areas are notorious for Border Action Team (BAT) attacksagainst Indian Army posts and patrols across the Line of Control (LoC).
“Terrorist launchpads have been hit in Nikial, Rakhchakri, Kotli andBhimber. Kotli, especially, is known for such launchpads,” said one of theofficials cited earlier.
The army top brass believes that Pakistan will attempt to carry out attacksthrough BAT—comprising Pakistani Special Service Group commandos andmilitants—sniping, planting of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) nearIndian patrols, and using infrastructure against it, said officials.[image: ET Prime]link

The ceasefire violations between the armies of both countries has increasedsince the February 14 Pulwama attack which killed over 40 CRPF soldiers.
It was especially high on February 26, when the IAF made a failed bombingattempt on a alleged JeM facility in Balakot in Pakistan, and the next daywhen the PAF targeted Indian non military sites in Jammu and Kashmir.
