Rawalpindi: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday made firstever recovery in notorious fake bank accounts case worth Rs600 million,reported GNN.
NAB Rawalpindi had filed first reference in fake accounts case in theaccountability court.
The reference has been filed against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s close aide Younus Kodawi, formeradministrator of KMC Mohammad Hussain and others over abusive use of power.
Two plots located in Karachi’s Clifton had been bought by company owned byYounus Kodwavi against a trivial sum of money. Both plots were transferredto Kodwavi’s company by illegal means and payment in this regard was madethrough fake accounts.
The premier anti-graft watchdog confiscated both plots worth Rs600 million.
