SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, a massive protest march will be heldtowards Shopian, on Wednesday, to express solidarity with the victimfamilies of the massacre carried out by the Indian troops on Sunday.
Call for the march has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadershipcomprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.The Hurriyat leaders will address a public rally in Shopian town.
Meanwhile, one more youth injured in the firing of Indian troops onprotesters, yesterday, succumbed to his injuries, today, raising the deathtoll in the ongoing massacre to 18.
The Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, in astatement said that India has declared a war against the unarmed Kashmiricivilians.
Meanwhile, complete shutdown continued on the third consecutive day, today,to mourn the massacre of youth in South Kashmir. The shutdown was alsoobserved in far-off areas of Doda, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah and Banihal in theJammu region. The puppet authorities continued to impose restrictionsacross the territory to prevent anti-India protests.
Kashmiri representatives, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo and ProfessorNazir Ahmad Shawl, in their letters urged the OIC SecretaryGeneral,President of European Parliament, and British parliamentarians tocondemn the Bloody Sunday massacre, perpetrated by Indian troops inoccupied Kashmir.
