The ongoing Senate Election 2021 witnessed a dispute after Member ofNational Assembly (MNA) and polling agent Ali Gohar raised objection overthe ongoing voting process for Senate elections.
According to the details, the Ali Gohar said that the electoral staffmembers are not honestly performing their duties as they are makingdifferent excuses to check the votes.
He said that the ongoing polling process in upper house of the Parliamentis suspicious. Ali Gohar further said that Election Commission of Pakistan(ECP) has been informed about the concerns.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan, the Prime Minister also casted his vote and left theNational Assembly shortly after. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC)Sikandar Sultan Raja visited the National Assembly Hall to review thepolling process.
Let it be known that the lawmakers are voting for 37 vacant seats of theSenate as 11 Senators from the Punjab have been elected unopposed.
Two senators will be elected from the federal capital, eleven from Sindhand twelve from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Fifty-two senators inthe house of 100 are set to retire on the 11th of this month aftercompleting their six-year term.
