ISLAMABAD – According to unofficial and unverified results, thePML-N-backed candidates bagged 11 of 12 seats in the Punjab Assembly. Thecount for the 12th seat is under way between the PTI and PML-N-backedindependent candidate.
From FATA, independent candidates Hidayatullah, Hilalur Rehman, ShamimAfridi and Mirza Afridi have been elected as senators, according tounofficial results.
Moreover, as per unverified reports, PML-N’s Mushahid Hussain Sayed baggedIslamabad’s technocrat seat.
Lawmakers began voting at 9amacross the four provincial assemblies and theNational Assembly.
Candidates contested for 52 seats from the provinces, FederallyAdministered Tribal Areas (FATA) and the federal capital.
