ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf lawmaker Eng Hamid ul Haq on Saturdayalleged the PML-N government for purchasing the FATA votes and giving eachlawmaker around Rs 320 million for his vote.
Talking to media outside the parliament, the MNA said that the six FATAmembers had already made a group and Hilal Ur Rehman, Hidayat Ullah, MirzaAfridi and Shamim Afridi would be elected on four seats of FATA.
“All matters were finalized by yesterday’s evening and each of the sixlawmakers were given around Rs 320 million,” he alleged.
Polling for the Senate elections went under way at 9am across the fourprovincial assemblies and National Assembly and is expected to concludewithout a break at 4pm today.
Candidates are contesting for 52 Senate seats from the provinces, FederallyAdministered Tribal Areas (FATA) and the federal capital.
