ISLAMABAD – Justice Qazi Faez Isa on Wednesday took the notice of thedevelopment funds announced by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan for lawmakersof National and provincial assemblies.

During a hearing of a case, Justice Faez Isa asked that is the primeminister’s giving funds to lawmakers in line with the constitution and law.

He directed the Advocate General and Attorney General to seek instructionsfrom the government and inform the SC in this regard. We will dispose ofthe matter if the grant is being given as per the constitution and law, hesaid.

Justice Isa remarked that the matter will be sent to Chief Justice ofPakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed for constitution of the bench to hear thenotice.
