PM Imran Khan offers conditional resignation to opposition

Prime Minister Imran Khan has on Tuesday made an offer to the Opposition toresign from office, conditional to the fact that they return the money they“stole” from the country.

“I will resign tomorrow if you deposit the money you looted back into thenational exchequer,” he said.

The premier also dared the Opposition parties to make good on their threatto resign from the assemblies.

“Such people do not have the guts to resign,” PM Imran Khanlink said.

He further added: “Making such a move requires courage and character.”

He criticized the decision by major Opposition parties to contest theSenate elections.

“Neither did they set out on a long march nor were they successful ingathering people [for their cause],” PM Imran remarked.

“December 31, and then January 31, came and went,” he said, in reference tothe first and then the subsequent deadline the Pakistan DemocraticMovement, an 11-party Opposition alliance, had set for the premier toresign.
