PTI mission is to ensure equal law: Fawad

GUJRANWALA: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Saturday said that the mission of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was to ensure equal law for the rich and the poor.

Addressing a public meeting in Ghakhar, he said that relations with Middle East countries had improved under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and now Saudi Arabia, Iran and US give weightage to Imran’s words. He said all countries were looking towards Pakistan and the country was playing its due role in the region.

The federal minister said the PTI government inherited poor economy, the loans which the Pakistan Muslim League-N and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) took during the last 10 years was 84 per cent of the country’s total loans. Chaudhry Fawad said that Prime Minister Imran Khan did not take a single penny from national exchequer, adding that the premier regarded himself accountable before the people.

When previous leadership was questioned about foreign loans, they started hue and cry, and termed the democracy at risk. The money which had to be spend for the development of Gujranwala, Jhelum, Larkana, Ghakhar and other areas, was found in Dubai and London, he said and added that money for Larkana package of Rs 90 billion was found in Dubai. The information minister said that public money was badly misused by the past rulers.

He said that Nawaz Sharif was not satisfied over his treatment in public sector hospitals of the country, despite remaining in power for almost three decades.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif and Khawaja Saad Rafique were enjoying such facilities in jails which were not available to other prisoners. He further said a revolution in the country came through middle class and today, the PTI was in power through this revolution. Chaudhry Jamal Nasir Cheema and others were also present.
