Complete shutdown in Occupied Kashmir against PM Narendra Most visit to valley

SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed today, toregister protest against Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s visit tothe territory.

Call for the shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadershipcomprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

All shops and other business establishments are closed while traffic is offthe road.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities have put many Hurriyat leadersincluding Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai,Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, Hilal Ahmed War, Javaid Ahmed Mir and Molvi BashirAhmed Irfani under house arrest to prevent them from leading anti-Indiademonstrations.

The authorities have also suspended mobile internet and train services inthe occupied territory.

Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum, Peoples Political Party and Hurriyat leader,Zafar Akbar Butt, in their statements strongly denounced detention ofMirwaiz Umar Farooq, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, Hilal Ahmed War and other Hurriyatleaders and activists.

Indian police arrested three youth from Sopore area of Baramulla districtlabeling them as over-ground workers of a mujahid organization.
