PESHAWAR: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan TTP terrorist organisation based inAfghanistan has accepted responsibility for the Swat suicide blast.
At least three security officials were martyred and seven others injured ina suicide attack near a military camp in Sharifabad area of Swat’s KabalTehsil on Saturday.
“Three security officials embraced shahadat while 7 injured [in theblast],” said a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Initial reports suggest that the blast took place near the Pakistan Army’ssports unit situated in the area.
Security forces and police have cordoned off the area and a searchoperation was launched to arrest the assailants.
Injured were taken to Saidu Teaching Hospital in Mingora, Swat.
Meanwhile, the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimedresponsibility for the attack in an email sent to the media, saying thiswas the second attack this month with more to follow.
