Pakistan manages to score 297 against NZ despite top order collapse yet again

Christchurch: Pakistan’s opening order collapsed once again on Day oneplaying against New Zealand in second Test of two-match series.

According to details, Abid Ali and Shan Masood returned to the pavilionwithout scoring any run. Harris Sohail and Fawad Alam added a total of onlythree runs on score board.

After Pakistan’s upper order mishap, Azhar Ali and Muhammad Rizwan built asolid partnership by scoring 93 and 64 runs respectively.

Test debutant Gohar played a responsible innings of 34 runs, taking greenshirts to 297 runs before New Zealand dismissed Pakistan.

From New Zealand’s side Kyle Jamieson took five wickets, while Trent Boultand Tim Southee clinched two wickets each.

The Kiwis, with 1-0 lead in series, will begin their innings on Mondayagainst Pakistan.
