RAWALPINDI – Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Major GeneralAsif Ghafoor has said Pak Army, government institutions and the nation havecollectively fought the menace of terrorism in the country.

Talking to a private TV Channel on Wednesday, he said we as nation haverendered unprecedented sacrifices to defeat the terrorism.

He said that the people of FATA have faced countless difficulties duringwar-on-terror but the time has come to focus on the development ofterror-affected areas.

Replying a question, he said that 75,000 operations have been carried outduring last two years while 345 terrorists were sentenced to death bymilitary courts.

DG ISPR said that Pakistan wants peaceful relations with all its neighborcountries including India. He said issues and problems will not be resolvedthrough threat and Pakistan is capable to respond any misadventurebefittingly.
