KARACHI – Pakistan Navy on Wednesday demonstrated its ability to respond toany aggression by conducting a test fire of a cruise missile from itsrecently commissioned PNS Himmat near Karachi.
The Fast Attack Craft (Missile) PNS HIMMAT, built at Karachi Shipyard &Engineering Works Limited (KS&EW), was commissioned at Pakistan NavyDockyard Karachi last year in July. PNS HIMMAT is a 63 meters long FastAttack Craft fitted with state of the art weapons and sensor.
The Harba is an indigenously built sea-to-sea cruise missile which can alsohit the target on the surface. The missile achieved its target successfullyduring the Wednesday’s demonstration.
Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi witnessed thedemonstration from PNS Alamgir. According to the Navy, this successfuldemonstration of weapon firing is a manifestation of the reliability of PakNavy firepower.
Speaking on the occasion, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi expressed hissatisfaction on the operational preparations of naval fleet.
