In a tragic incident, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Muhammad Zeb met a fatal end when unidentified assailants carried out a lethal attack on him in the Shalbandi area of Buner. The assailants indiscriminately opened fire on Muhammad Zeb, leading to his untimely demise.

Additionally, two other individuals suffered injuries as a result of this unfortunate attack. Law enforcement officials have determined that the primary motive behind this act of violence was personal enmity, and the perpetrators managed to flee the scene, evading immediate capture.

It is pertinent to note that Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer, Sirajul Haq, had earlier announced a nationwide shutdown or "shutter down strike" scheduled for the same day. Speaking at a youth convention in Rawalpindi, Sirajul Haq implored the nation to support and participate in this countrywide strike as a means to voice their collective concerns regarding inflation and exorbitant electricity bills.

He criticized the ruling authorities for leading the nation into a dire crisis and making the country's economy and politics heavily reliant on the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The tragic incident in Buner serves as a somber backdrop to the already heightened tensions within the political landscape of Pakistan. The loss of Muhammad Zeb, a prominent JI leader, further underscores the urgency of addressing personal vendettas and promoting peace in the country. Meanwhile, the impending nationwide strike, spearheaded by Sirajul Haq, is emblematic of the growing frustration among the populace concerning economic hardships and foreign financial dependencies, highlighting the need for a more sustainable path forward for Pakistan
